BIOGRAPHY:
Mata Gabin was born on the border of Liberia and the Ivory Coast, a Libero-Guinean mother and a Martiniquan father. She was adopted at the age of 3 by her uncle and aunt. During his early childhood, it was his grandmother Argentina and her husband who was Italian who raised him. She has lived in Ivory Coast, Corsica and now in Paris for a few years.
Of a very talkative nature, she found her way at the age of 16 when she saw for the first time the film “La Sorciere” with Beatrice Dalle by Marco Bellocchio and “Bal Poussiere” with Naky Sy Savane.
Wishing to ease her parents’ reticence about her artistic career choice, she will take her baccalaureate and move to Aix-en-Provence to pursue law studies. On the advice of a friend, she took theatre lessons in Marseille and went up to Paris with the firm intention of becoming an actress.
