BIOGRAPHY:

CCH Pounder (Carol Christine Hilaria Pounder) can be associated with qualities such as strength, trust and integrity as one could say of actresses such as Alfre Woodward and Cicely Tyson. Born on Christmas Day 1952 in Guyana, she grew up on a sugar cane plantation. Her parents moved to the United States when she was a little girl but she and her sister were sent to a religious school where they were introduced to art and Western classics. After high school, she returned to New York and studied at Ithaca College where her acting skills were discovered.
