BIOGRAPHY:
Lamman Rucker was born on October 6, 1971 in Pittsburgh, his mother was the founder of a dance company: the "Pittsburgh Black Theater Dance Ensemble" and his father was a drummer, he is the eldest in the family and has a younger brother and sister.
He graduated from the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. with a degree in educational science and after that played semi-pro basketball for a short time. His first major role was in the soap opera "As the World Turns" in which he played alongside Tamara Tunie, T. Marshall Travers a young prosecutor. He played in this series for only one year and then played Garret Williams in the film "All My Children" in 2005.
He has played in several films by Tyler Perry such as "Meet the Browns" where he plays the small role of Vera's son, he currently plays in the series of the same name in which his role has become more important. He appears in the last two films of Tyler Perry "Why did I get married and the second opus where he plays the role of Troy, the new husband of Jill Scott aka Sheila.
