BIOGRAPHY:
Paula Jai Parker is an American actress born on August 19, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in a family passionate about the arts and developed an early interest in acting and performance.
Parker studied theater at Howard University before moving to New York to pursue her career in entertainment. She quickly attracted attention for her talent and charisma on stage.
Her breakthrough in the film industry came with her memorable role in the hit movie "Friday" (1995), where she played the character of Joi, Ice Cube's girlfriend. Her comic performance in this role won her recognition from audiences and helped establish her reputation as a talented actress.
Parker went on to star in a variety of films and TV series. She has appeared in films such as "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" (1996), "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" (1998), and "Hustle & Flow" (2005).
