BIOGRAPHY:
A native of New Jersey, Derek went to California to pursue a career as an actor. Before "Antwone Fisher", he was almost a total stranger despite his short appearances in the TV series Moesha" and his first major role in Biker Boyz with Larry Fishburne. Derek Luke has received numerous compliments from critics and audiences for his performance in "Antwone Fisher" by and with Denzel Washington. Derek also won the National Board of Review Award for best actor for his work in this film, this award marks his debut in the world of cinema.
