Cynda Williams is an American actress born on May 17, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her acting and singing talents, as well as her screen presence and powerful voice. Williams began her acting career in the 1980s, gaining attention for her natural beauty and artistic talent. She studied acting at the University of Illinois before moving to New York to pursue her career. In 1989, Cynda Williams landed her first major role in Spike Lee's film "Mo' Better Blues". She played Clarke Bentancourt, the girlfriend of the title character played by Denzel Washington. Her performance won critical acclaim and the attention of the film industry. Williams went on to work in films such as "One False Move" (1992) and "Caught Up" (1998), demonstrating her versatility in a variety of roles. She also appeared in popular TV series such as "NYPD Blue" and "Chicago Hope". |
