BIOGRAPHIE:

A l'age de sept ans, Billy Dee fait ses débuts sur Broadway dans "The Firebrand of Florence" une production dont le titre a ete prophétique pour lui puisqu'il a réussi par la suite a se faire un nom dans le monde du Théâtre, du petit écran et du cinéma. Apres avoir étudié avec Sydney Poitier au legendaire Actor's Workshop, il s'est tres vite fait remarque dans les productions de "The Cool World", "Blue Boy in Black" et "A Taste of Honey. En 1970, il apparait aux cotes de Diana Ross dans "The Lady Sings the Blues", et trois ans plus tard ils sont de nouveau associes dans le film "Mahogany". Ce fut grâce au téléfilm prime, "Brian's Song", que Bill devient un acteur du petit écran important, qu'il obtient une nomination aux Emmy Awards. En 1980, il a été choisi afin de jouer le rôle du vaurien Lando Calrissian dans "L'empire contre attaque". Depuis cet extraordinaire succès, il a participe a beaucoup de longs-métrages et de téléfilms dont "Batman", "Constellation", et "Lonesome Dove: The Series".
